Morning

This morning ritual is one of my reasons to thank the world for being alive: a book and a cup of green tea in a transparent glass.

When the sun is out, its rays pass through the golden tea, and I can watch the dance of light and reflections forever.

And then there is the book—an opportunity to enter into conversation with great thinkers and artists whom I may never meet in my daily life.

There is something marvelous in these ordinary things: sunlight, tea, a book, a quiet morning. Perhaps much of the beauty of being alive is hidden precisely there.
