My paintings grow out of encounters—with landscapes, dreams, myths, the body, and the unconscious. Each is deeply personal, rooted in my own journey, yet in the process of painting I sometimes touch something that feels as though it has always existed beyond me. I try not to explain it, but to let it pass through me and take form on the canvas. In those moments, making art becomes a meeting with the self, with the soul, and perhaps with something larger. Something close to the divine
