Cowl

“According to Muhammad, it was not the eagles but the owls who protected the cows,” says my friend Olya in the dream.

And there you have it. COWL is born.

An unlikely tandem: a daytime, motherly herbivore and a nocturnal, clawed predator. One large and gentle, the other small and sharp.

And somehow, it works.

This pencil drawing is my attempt to honor this absurd, dream-born couple.
